System Requirements Changes in ComCept .Net
Dot-Matrix Printing
ComCept will no longer assist customers with their dot-matrix printers after October 1, 2013. There is a vast selection of affordable laser printers available with which to replace dot-matrix, and ComCept support will happily recommend one to meet your needs.
Supported Versions of Windows
ComCept .Net is supported on all desktop(1) versions of Microsoft Windows after Windows XP. This includes the following operating systems(2):
- Windows XP - until April, 2014
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
- Windows 8 / 8.1
(1) Server operating systems are not supported.
(2) This includes 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
Windows versions that do not appear in this list are not guaranteed to work, and will not be supported by ComCept.
Supported Browsers
ComCept .Net is an Internet-based application, built on Internet Explorer and related Microsoft technologies. The version of Internet Explorer installed on user PCs is critical to the proper function of ComCept. Not all versions of Internet Explorer are available on all systems. ComCept makes every effort to support the latest two versions of Internet Explorer on all supported operating systems.
The following browsers are supported, list by operating system:
Windows XP:
Internet Explorer 7 - until October 1, 2013
Internet Explorer 8 - until April 1, 2014
Windows Vista:
Internet Explorer 9
Internet Explorer 10
Windows 7:
Internet Explorer 9
Internet Explorer 10
Windows 8 / 8.1:
Internet Explorer 10
Internet Explorer 11
Upgrades
Customers with computers that do not meet minimum specifications must upgrade these computers. Internet Explorer is available at no charge to all Windows users. Additionally, some operating systems can be upgraded without buying a new computer, although Microsoft charges for Windows upgrades.
Upgrading Your Browser
Users can upgrade Internet Explorer to a newer version by simply visiting the Internet Explorer web site.

Users should select the highest version supported on their Operating System, unless there is a specific requirement to use the earlier version (online banking plug-ins, etc.)
Upgrading Windows
Computers that are not running a supported version of Windows can sometimes be upgraded to a newer version without buying a new PC, and without losing all your current files and setup. Very old computers will not be able to run newer versions of Windows, and consequently must be replaced with a new computer.
