Receiving Flow and Process

WMS Warehouse

Image

WMS Warehouses use a two step-process to receive goods.

 1. Items are received temporarily into a Receiving bin

 2. Items are moved from the Receiving bin into a pocking or overflow bin.

Receiving bins are used by Warehouse locations to temporarily house inventory received until it can be put away into a picking or overflow bin. Multiple Receiving bins can be created and used. To allow a user to view the status easily of items being received, the order lines are colored. This allows the user to see the progress of the order picking.

  • Order lines that have not been received at all will have quantities colored in light gray.
  • Order lines that have been under-received will have quantities colored in light yellow.
  • Order lines that have been received exactly will have quantities colored in light green.
  • Order lines that have been over-received will have quantities colored in light red.
