Use of the filters within the Bin Location Maintenance Screen:

Use the filtering options on the page to limit the displayed bins available for editing.

You can filter the displayed bins by one or all of the options listed below:

  • Bin Range: This is an alpha numeric name range. Enter a value into to and from fields to limit the number of bins returned by the search.
  • Item Code Range: Also alpha numeric. Enter a value into to and from fields to limit the number of bins returned by the search.
  • Manufacturer: This field will limit the bins by the item's manufacturer.
  • Product Line: This narrows the bin select by the item's product line.
  • Product Group: This narrows the bin select by the item's product group.
  • Location: This limits the bin selection by the location they are assigned.

Search button: Select this to perform the search of bins based on the filters you selected.

You can change the display sort order by either the Bin Name or Bin Description: Click the column header above the displayed bins to change the sort.

For each Bin Location listed the following actions can be taken:

  • The Delete link  will remove the bin from your database completely as long as there are no items assigned to that bin. (See Below for Details in “Add/Remove Bin Items” topic).
  • The Edit link: Clicking this will open up the Edit Bins screen where you can Clone the bin to another location, rename the bin, add or modify a bin description, and access the Add/Remove Bin Items for that Bin Location.
  • # of Items column: This displays the number of item codes assigned to this bin location. Clicking that number bypasses the edit bin screen and brings you directly to the Add/Remove Bin Items area.

"Add New" button: Select this button to create a new bin location.
